Emphasizing Academic Integrity in Every Classroom

New tools have created countless ways for students to cheat – and growing academic and socio-economic pressures have created more reasons for them to do so. some they might not even realize are dishonest. Camilla Roberts

Director of the Honor and Integrity System, Kansas State University

Camilla is the Director of the Honor and Integrity System at Kansas State University. In this position she oversees both the education of academic integrity to the K-State Community as well as the adjudication of alleged violations. Camilla has been active in the International Center for Academic Integrity since 2008 when she made the transition to academic integrity from working several years in university housing. Since fall 2016, she began serving on the leadership board of ICAI. She currently serves as President. Camilla has a BA (2001) in Psychology and an M.Ed. (2004) in Counselor Education from Clemson University as well as a Ph.D. (2008) in Higher Education Administration from Kansas State University. With her counseling and student affairs background, she strives to help students understand academic integrity as a “big picture” in terms of ethics and moral development and not something that they will only see while at a university.

Associate Director Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire

Cindy Albert is the Associate Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Pioneering CETL in 2008, Cindy collaborates with faculty to develop innovative and engaging curriculum and instruction to increase student learning in all modes of course delivery. She helped CETL become the go-to place for ideas and support as faculty work towards a “One Small Change” philosophy, which she has used for thirty years as an educator. Cindy’s passion for teaching and student learning comes through clearly in both her faculty development role and in the course she teaches where she validates the most up-to-date strategies.
